Vessel Details: Private, UK-flagged Hallberg-Rassy 62 sailing yacht operated on a dual-season programme. British-owned, with a relaxed family cruising programme focused on watersports, swimming, snorkeling and local exploration.
Responsibilities: Captain/Engineer: Command the yacht, oversee safety and technical operations, manage shipyard periods and refit works, and handle hands-on engineering duties. Cook/Stewardess: Plan and provision fresh Mediterranean-style meals, maintain the interior, provide detailed housekeeping and turn-down service, care for three guest cabins, and provide relaxed, attentive service to owners and guests.
Requirements: Captain/Engineer must hold RYA Yachtmaster Ocean or equivalent, valid ENG1 and STCW, with AEC 1 & 2 preferred. Minimum 3 years as Captain on 60ft+ sailing yachts and proven refit/yard-period experience required. Seaman’s Discharge Book and Schengen Visa or EU Passport required. Cook/Stewardess must hold STCW, ENG1 and Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2, with a minimum of 6 months’ Cook/Stew experience on private or charter yachts. Joint Captain/Cook-Stew experience preferred. Schengen Visa or EU Passport required. Both candidates should be warm, personable, adaptable, safety-conscious and comfortable working within a small team.
