Vessel Details

51ft Able Apogee 51 Sailing Yacht, USA/San Marino flag. The yacht will winter in the Caribbean (2026/2027), followed by either an Atlantic crossing to Europe or the start of a slow-paced circumnavigation. The successful candidate will begin in mid-to-late August 2026, preparing the vessel for offshore departure by the end of September.

Responsibilities

Manage and operate the sailing programme, taking responsibility for offshore passages while assisting with yacht maintenance, refits, and overall vessel management. Work closely with the owner to establish a long-term professional relationship.

Requirements

• Extensive offshore sailing experience
• Strong knowledge of yacht systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Excellent navigation skills
• Proficiency with Expedition and/or Adrena navigation software
• Fluent English
• Excellent physical health
• Ideally aged between the 30s and mid-40s (exceptional candidates outside this range will also be considered)
