Open Chief Engineer Position

Position: Chief Engineer

Start Date: End of July / Beginning of August

Location: River Thames, UK

Salary: £60,000+

Leave: 28 days

Contract: Permanent

Vessel Details: Commercial fleet of multiple vessels operating on the River Thames.

Responsibilities: Oversee maintenance, servicing and repair of fleet vessels. Manage planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, coordinate refits, manage engineering stock and produce maintenance reports. Supervise and mentor two junior engineers. Work with the Fleet Captain to plan engineering works and ensure efficient project delivery.

Requirements: EOOW certification. Proven commercial marine engineering experience. Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and vessel systems. Previous experience managing maintenance schedules, refits and supporting multiple vessels. Must have the right to work in the UK.
