Vessel Details

50m Private Motor Yacht – US-flagged – Docked in Fort Lauderdale with monthly Bahamas trips – Owners use yacht ~15 weeks/year – Typically home every night when not on trips – Structured and high-standard program

Responsibilities

Full engineering responsibility – Perform maintenance and repairs with minimal use of contractors – Follow and improve preventative maintenance schedules – Maintain immaculate engine room and technical spaces – Handle documentation (oil record book, failure logs, checklists) – Operate all onboard systems (engines, AV, fuel systems, etc.) – Maintain spare parts inventory – Participate in gangway/anchor watch schedules – Assist other departments as needed

Requirements

USCG equivalent to Y3 / EOOW III/1 (MN) or III/3 – STCW, Advanced Firefighting, ENG1 or equivalent – Strong mechanical aptitude – Clean record, background check required – B1/B2 visa or US citizenship/Green Card (mandatory) – Willing to share cabin with male Mate on trips – Hands-on, dedicated work ethic – Cayman Island discharge book and Triton software experience preferred
