Position Engineer – Rotation 10 weeks on/off (flexible)

Vessel Details 45m Private Motor Yacht

Privately registered yacht operating in the USA and Bahamas. Engineer shares a cabin with a male crew member. The vessel has excellent longevity in the engineering team and a supportive program that allows autonomy and growth.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve yacht’s mechanical and electrical systems

Manage and maintain 42ft center console, 24ft Grady White, and Yamaha Waverunners (outside South Florida)

Ensure accurate inventory tracking and record-keeping

Oversee AV/IT systems including Starlink, VSAT, TVRO, Crestron, Kerio, Ruckus, and Pepwave

Willing to learn and troubleshoot

Support upgrades and refits when necessary

Maintain professional, sober, and team-oriented demeanor

Requirements

MCA UK Y3 or Small Vessel CoC (Chief Engineer <3000kW, <500GT, STCW Reg III/3 Y3) or USCG equivalent

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or valid marine medical

B1/B2 visa (min 1 year validity)

Passport (min 1 year validity)

PDSD and Advanced Firefighting

Strong AV/IT knowledge

Mechanical trade background preferred

MTU4000 course and CAT generator experience a plus

Positive references and proven longevity
