Vessel Details 100m private motor yacht operating worldwide with a dual-season itinerary in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Responsibilities

Operational and financial management of the Engineering department

Maintain Chief Engineer’s Standing Orders

Ensure compliance with Flag State, Class, MARPOL, and local discharge regulations

Oversee mechanical plant and associated systems

Plan shipyard and refit periods in collaboration with the Captain

Maintain and renew engineering certificates

Watch-keeping in the engine room as required

Manage planned maintenance and engineering records

Oversee fuel, oil, and lubricants management

Coordinate and oversee bunkering operations

Report major engineering issues to the Captain

Support the Safety Officer with FFE, LSE, and security equipment

Manage engineering maintenance of tenders and toys

Maintain cleanliness of all engineering spaces

Review and approve rosters prepared by the 2nd Engineer

Train engineering crew

Report safety-related defects to the Chief Officer

Requirements

Minimum 5 years in the Chief Engineer role on 80m+ yachts or commercial vessels

Experience with IDEA and VOLY systems

STCW III/2 Chief Engineer Unlimited

STCW Basic and Advanced (fully updated)

PSA and PDSD

Seafarer’s Medical Certificate

Seaman’s Discharge Book

B1/B2 visa preferred
