Engineer for 40m Sailing Yacht
Overview:
An excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a 40m sailing yacht nearing the completion of a full refit/restoration. The role involves working closely with an experienced build engineer during the final commissioning phase and taking over the engineering department once the refit is complete.
Key Details:
• Salary: €6,000–€6,500 per month, depending on experience.
• Contract: Full-time, no rotation.
• Start Date: Ideally ASAP, but candidates available in the new year will also be considered.
• Refit Status: Finalizing the electrical installation and commissioning, expected to complete by early March.
Role Requirements:
• Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years as an engineer in the superyacht industry.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience on a 24m+ sailing yacht.
• Qualifications:
• AEC 2 COC (minimum).
• SCV MEOL / EOOW preferred.
• Yachtmaster COC (YM Ocean is a bonus).
• Skills:
• Strong sailing experience on larger yachts is essential.
• Ability to take ownership of the engineering department.
Additional Information:
• Open to male and female candidates.
• 2025: Med cruising and race training program.
• 2026: UK/Med racing and cruising program.
• Likely to be a single-season vessel, wintering in Spain.
