Captain & Chef/Stew Couple for 30m Sailing Yacht – Research Programme


Start Date: April 25 (flexible if the right candidates are found sooner).


An exceptional opportunity for a dynamic Captain & Chef/Stew couple to join a 30m sailing yacht with a unique scientific research focus. The yacht will explore the Pacific, visiting remote islands and atolls while hosting a mix of scientists, researchers, and guests.


Key Details:

Itinerary: Pacific exploration with a scientific research aspect.

Crew: Runs with a team of 3.

Role Requirements:

• Strong sailing skills – the yacht prioritizes sailing over motor use.

• Comfortable living onboard and extended time at sea.

• Experienced in hosting and coordinating guest programs.

• Water-safe, friendly, and inclusive attitude.

• Safety-conscious and adept at managing a vessel of this size.

Additional qualifications (preferred): Dive Master or Master Diver certification.


Owner Expectations:

• High standards and professionalism, with generous packages offered in return for excellence.

• A busy yet rewarding environment, blending hospitality with adventurous research expeditions.


The current Captain couple is transitioning to shore-based roles supporting the owner’s expeditions, ensuring smooth continuity and support for the yacht’s new leadership team.


Mileage: Approximately 10,000 nautical miles annually.
