Position: Chief Engineer

Start Date: End of July

Location: Aberdeen, Scotland

Salary: £200–£250 per day

Leave: 28 days

Contract: Temporary, 6 months, with potential to become permanent

Vessel Details: 35m commercial barge supporting harbour and offshore operations based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Responsibilities: Maintain the vessel's engines, machinery and auxiliary systems. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical faults, assist during vessel operations, and ensure all engineering work complies with industry regulations and safety standards.

Requirements: AEC Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification. Proven experience as a Marine Engineer on commercial vessels, tankers, barges or similar operations. Strong mechanical fault-finding skills. Must have the right to work in Scotland/UK.
